Meet Our Pastor
Rev. Coley M. Gracey currently serves as Senior Pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church. Born in Pontiac, MI on November 24, 1979 to the late Michael Lee Gracey & Judith Harris Odum, Rev. Gracey attended Holy Name, Brother Rice and graduated from Southfield High in 1997. He went on to attend Eastern Michigan University. While at Eastern, Rev. Gracey did not obtain his degree, but he did learn some valuable life lessons as well as meeting the woman that God had set aside to be his wife.Rev. Gracey’s Christian development started at an early age at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Robert E. Bailey. As a child Coley served as a children and youth usher, sang and directed in the children and youth choirs and was a faithful member of all youth activities. As a young adult Rev. Gracey continued to serve in various leadership capacities at Trinity.
In 2006, Rev. Gracey married the love of his life Jayla Davis & just 2 short months after getting married he announced his calling to the ministry. Under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Drew E. Marshall, Coley was licensed to preach the gospel May of 2007. Rev. Gracey continued to serve faithfully at Trinity as an associate minister & as the children/youth pastor. In December of 2009, Rev Gracey took a gigantic leap of faith and left corporate America in lieu of full time ministry. In January of 2011, Rev. Gracey was ordained by Dr. Marshall. After much reflection & the nudging of the Holy Spirit, Rev. Gracey returned to school to complete his undergraduate work.
In April of 2017, Rev. Gracey graduated from Rochester College with his Bachelor of Science degree in Leadership with a concentration in Management. Currently he is studying to obtain his Masters of Divinity from The Morehouse School of Theology at The Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, GA. Rev. Gracey's love for God in combination with his passion for people shines through in everything he does. Coley and Jayla are the proud parents of Miss Caley Mishael and Miss Jania Drew. As Rev. Gracey seeks to serve this present age, he is determined to instill the values, faith, and belief system that has sustained him and his forefathers. It is his mission to spread the love of Christ, in hopes those impacted will be transformed and redeemed.
